Last Updated: 26th of June 2026
This document governs access to and use of the RavaPay mobile application, website, APIs and related payment services. By using RavaPay, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RavaPay mobile application, website, APIs, payment services, wallet services, bills payment services, value-added services, customer support channels and all related products and services made available by RavaPay ("RavaPay", "we", "us", or "our").
By creating an account, accessing, browsing, registering for, integrating with, or using RavaPay, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, transaction rules, product-specific terms, applicable fee schedules, risk controls, and any other terms we may publish or notify you of from time to time.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not access or use RavaPay. If you are using RavaPay on behalf of a company, organization, merchant or other legal entity, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms.
RavaPay is a digital payments and value-added services platform that enables eligible users, merchants, businesses and organizations to access supported payment-related services. These may include wallet funding, wallet-based payments, airtime purchase, mobile data purchase, electricity bill payment, cable TV subscription payment, betting wallet top-up where available, bulk payments, merchant services, developer APIs, transaction history, receipts, notifications and customer support services.
RavaPay may provide certain services directly and may also rely on licensed financial institutions, payment processors, switching companies, billers, aggregators, telecommunications networks, electricity distribution companies, cable TV providers, betting operators, identity verification providers, cloud infrastructure providers and other third-party service providers.
Where a service is provided, processed or fulfilled by a third party, your use of that service may also be subject to the third party's operational rules, settlement timelines, service availability and applicable terms.
You may only use RavaPay if:
We may refuse registration, suspend access, restrict transactions, or close an account where we reasonably believe that the user is ineligible, unauthorized, fraudulent, sanctioned, high-risk, or in breach of these Terms.
To use some RavaPay services, you may be required to create an account and provide information such as your name, phone number, email address, date of birth, identity information, address, business registration details, device information, bank account details or other information required for onboarding, identity verification, fraud prevention, transaction monitoring, compliance and customer support.
You agree that all information you provide to RavaPay must be true, accurate, complete and up to date. You must promptly update your information if it changes.
We may verify your identity and business information through internal checks, external databases, verification providers, financial institutions, government or regulatory databases, credit bureaus, fraud prevention databases or other lawful sources.
We may request additional information or documents at any time. Failure to provide requested information may result in account limits, delayed transactions, suspension, account restriction or termination.
RavaPay may apply different account levels, wallet limits, transaction limits, daily limits, monthly limits, product limits or access restrictions based on your verification level, transaction history, risk profile, business category, regulatory requirements, provider requirements and internal policies.
We may increase, reduce, suspend or remove limits at any time where required by law, risk control, fraud prevention, partner requirements, operational needs or internal policy.
You agree that RavaPay may monitor transactions and account activity to detect suspicious, fraudulent, unlawful or unusual activity. We may delay, reverse, decline, restrict, freeze, report or block any transaction or account where we reasonably suspect fraud, money laundering, terrorism financing, identity theft, unauthorized access, chargeback abuse, regulatory breach, operational error, or violation of these Terms.
You are responsible for keeping your login details, password, PIN, passcode, one-time password, device, biometric access, API keys, session credentials and all other security credentials confidential and secure.
You must not share your password, PIN, one-time password, API keys, access tokens, private keys, device credentials or security codes with anyone. RavaPay will never ask you to disclose your full password, PIN or one-time password outside secure authentication flows.
You are responsible for all activities carried out through your account, device, API keys or credentials, except where loss is directly caused by proven negligence, fraud or system failure on the part of RavaPay.
You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access, loss of device, compromised password, compromised PIN, suspicious transaction, API key leakage or any other security incident.
Where wallet services are available, you may fund your RavaPay wallet through supported payment channels. Wallet balances may be used to pay for eligible RavaPay services. Wallet funding may be subject to network availability, settlement timelines, reversal timelines, payment processor rules, fraud checks and transaction limits.
A successful debit from your external funding source does not always mean that RavaPay has received final value. Where funding is delayed, failed, reversed, disputed or subject to chargeback, RavaPay may withhold value, reverse wallet credit, place a lien, restrict your account or request additional confirmation.
RavaPay allows you to purchase airtime and mobile data for supported telecommunications networks. You are responsible for entering the correct phone number, network, product, bundle, plan, validity period and amount.
Once airtime or data has been successfully delivered to the phone number or network account you provided, it may not be reversible, refundable or transferable. RavaPay is not responsible for loss arising from incorrect phone numbers, wrong network selection, duplicate purchase, network restrictions, provider downtime, expired offers or provider-side delays.
RavaPay allows you to pay supported electricity distribution companies for prepaid and postpaid electricity services. You are responsible for entering the correct meter number, account number, distribution company, customer details, meter type and amount.
For prepaid electricity, the token generated by the provider will be displayed or sent to you where available. You are responsible for entering the token correctly into your meter. RavaPay is not responsible for loss arising from incorrect meter numbers, wrong provider selection, meter rejection, meter configuration issues, outstanding debt deductions, tariff changes, third-party charges, provider downtime or delayed token generation.
RavaPay allows you to pay supported cable TV providers and subscription packages. You are responsible for selecting the correct provider, smartcard or IUC number, package, add-on and amount.
Service reconnection is controlled by the relevant provider and may be subject to provider processing time. RavaPay does not guarantee instant reconnection in all cases.
Where betting wallet top-up is available, you may fund supported betting accounts through RavaPay. You are responsible for entering the correct betting provider, customer ID, phone number, user ID or wallet account details.
RavaPay does not operate betting services, determine betting odds, control betting winnings or losses, or encourage gambling. Betting wallet top-up is only available to eligible users and may be restricted in accordance with law, provider rules or internal risk controls.
Where transfer services are available, you are responsible for confirming the recipient institution, account number, account name, amount and narration before authorizing the transaction. A transfer marked successful may not be reversible unless permitted by applicable rules, receiving institution cooperation, beneficiary consent or lawful process.
RavaPay is not responsible for funds sent to a wrong account where the error was caused by incorrect information supplied by you.
RavaPay may provide bulk payment services for eligible users, businesses, merchants or organizations. You are responsible for verifying each beneficiary, amount, account number, phone number, product, reference and payment instruction before submission.
RavaPay may validate, process, reject, queue, split, retry, suspend or partially complete bulk payment batches depending on wallet balance, transaction limits, provider availability, beneficiary validation, fraud checks, compliance review, duplicate detection or system constraints.
A bulk batch may contain successful, failed, pending or reversed items. Each item may be treated separately for status, receipt, reconciliation and refund purposes.
RavaPay may provide APIs, sandbox access, test credentials, production credentials, webhooks, documentation and other developer tools. You must protect all API keys, secret keys, private keys, tokens, webhook secrets and credentials issued to you.
You must not expose secret credentials in mobile apps, public repositories, frontend code, logs, screenshots, shared documents or insecure systems. RavaPay may rotate, suspend, revoke or disable API credentials where we suspect compromise, misuse, fraud, excessive errors, security risk, regulatory breach or violation of these Terms.
A transaction may be treated as authorized where it is initiated, approved or submitted using your account, device, password, PIN, biometric authentication, one-time password, API credentials, session credentials, authorized user profile, merchant dashboard or any other approved authentication method.
You agree that RavaPay may rely on such authorization to process the transaction. You must carefully review transaction details before confirmation. Once a transaction has been submitted for processing, it may not be cancelled, reversed or refunded except where permitted by RavaPay, the provider, applicable law, scheme rules or lawful process.
Transaction status may include pending, processing, successful, failed, reversed, partially successful, awaiting provider response, pending authorization or any other status we may introduce.
A debit from your wallet or funding source does not always mean the final service has been delivered. Some transactions may remain pending until the relevant provider confirms final status.
Where a transaction fails after your wallet or funding source has been debited, RavaPay will make reasonable efforts to reverse the value to your RavaPay wallet or original payment source, subject to confirmation from relevant providers and settlement partners. Reversal timelines may vary depending on third-party systems and transaction channels.
RavaPay may decline a refund where the service was successfully delivered, the transaction was authorized from your account, you supplied incorrect details, the provider confirms value was delivered, the transaction is under investigation, the transaction relates to suspected fraud or abuse, or the refund is prohibited by applicable rules.
RavaPay may charge fees for certain services. Fees may include service fees, convenience fees, transfer fees, processing fees, API fees, settlement fees, provider charges, taxes, levies or other applicable charges.
Fees may vary by product, provider, transaction amount, channel, user category, business category, funding source or promotional campaign. We may change fees, commissions, discounts, bonuses or pricing at any time, subject to applicable law and notice where required.
Where a provider changes its product price, tariff, plan, package, charge or commission, RavaPay may update its pricing accordingly. All fees are non-refundable unless expressly stated otherwise or required by law.
RavaPay may offer promotions, referral rewards, discounts, bonuses, cashback, free transactions or other incentives. Promotions may be subject to eligibility, time limits, transaction limits, product restrictions, user category, minimum spend, maximum reward, verification level, fraud checks and additional terms.
RavaPay may withhold, reverse, cancel or deduct any reward where we reasonably suspect abuse, self-referral, fake accounts, collusion, fraud, duplicate claims, chargeback, reversed transaction or violation of promotion rules. Promotions are not guaranteed and may be modified, suspended or withdrawn at any time.
You agree to:
You must not use RavaPay to:
We may restrict or terminate your account and report activity to relevant authorities where we reasonably suspect prohibited activity.
RavaPay may suspend, restrict, freeze, place a lien on, limit, downgrade, close or terminate your account without prior notice where:
Where permitted, we may notify you and provide steps to resolve the restriction. However, we may withhold details where disclosure may compromise security, fraud prevention, investigation, regulatory compliance or legal process.
Where a wallet funding, card payment, transfer or other credit to your account is reversed, disputed, charged back, recalled or found to be invalid, RavaPay may deduct the affected amount from your wallet or any future inflow.
If this creates a negative balance, you must immediately repay the amount owed. RavaPay may recover negative balances by setting off against your wallet balance, future credits, commissions, settlements, refunds, bonuses or any other amount payable to you.
We may also suspend your account, restrict services or take lawful recovery action.
Some RavaPay services depend on third-party providers including financial institutions, payment processors, switches, telecommunications networks, electricity distribution companies, cable TV companies, betting operators, identity verification providers, cloud providers, SMS providers, email providers and aggregators.
You acknowledge that third-party systems may experience downtime, delays, errors, reversals, service changes, product unavailability, incorrect responses, maintenance windows or network failures. RavaPay is not liable for third-party failures beyond its reasonable control, but we will make reasonable efforts to support resolution where possible.
RavaPay aims to provide reliable services but does not guarantee that the platform will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free or compatible with every device, network or operating system.
Services may be unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, internet failure, telecom failure, provider downtime, cloud service outage, financial institution downtime, regulatory action, security incident, force majeure or other circumstances. We may modify, suspend, discontinue or limit any service at any time.
You are responsible for using a compatible device, updated app version, secure internet connection and valid phone number or email address.
RavaPay may stop supporting outdated app versions, insecure devices, rooted or jailbroken devices, compromised devices, unsupported operating systems or devices that fail security checks. You are responsible for all charges imposed by your internet service provider, mobile network operator or device provider.
If you use RavaPay as a merchant, business, developer, aggregator or organization, you agree to:
RavaPay may withhold settlement, suspend API access, apply rolling reserves, impose transaction limits, delay payouts or terminate merchant access where required for risk, fraud, compliance, dispute or operational reasons.
Developers and API users must:
RavaPay may rate-limit, suspend, revoke or disable API access where your integration causes errors, fraud risk, security risk, system stress, duplicate transactions, customer harm or violation of these Terms.
All rights in the RavaPay name, logo, brand, software, platform, APIs, designs, content, documentation, icons, images, trade names, trademarks, databases and technology belong to RavaPay, its owners, licensors or partners.
You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use RavaPay solely for lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms. You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, sell, sublicense, imitate, misuse or exploit any part of RavaPay without our prior written consent.
You must not use RavaPay branding in a way that suggests authorization, partnership, agency or endorsement where none exists.
RavaPay collects and processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. By using RavaPay, you consent to the collection, use, storage, processing, verification and sharing of your information for lawful business, service delivery, security, compliance and support purposes.
These purposes may include account creation and identity verification, transaction processing, fraud prevention and security, regulatory compliance, customer support, service improvement, risk management, dispute resolution, communication and notifications, analytics and reporting, legal and audit purposes.
We may share your information with financial institutions, payment processors, identity verification providers, billers, lawful authorities, professional advisers, cloud service providers and other partners where necessary for lawful business, service delivery, compliance or security purposes.
You agree that RavaPay may contact you through app notifications, SMS, email, phone calls, WhatsApp, website notices, in-app messages or other communication channels. Electronic communications from RavaPay satisfy any legal requirement that such communication be in writing, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
You are responsible for keeping your email address, phone number and notification settings up to date.
If you experience a failed transaction, unauthorized transaction, delayed service, account issue or complaint, you should contact RavaPay through official support channels.
When reporting an issue, provide relevant details such as transaction reference, amount, date, product, beneficiary, screenshot, error message and any other helpful information.
We will make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve complaints. Some complaints may require confirmation from external systems, settlement partners, payment processors, billers or other third parties.
You must notify RavaPay immediately if you suspect an unauthorized transaction or compromised account. You may be liable for losses arising from unauthorized transactions where you:
RavaPay will investigate reported unauthorized transactions and may request additional information from you.
You agree that RavaPay's transaction logs, system records, authentication records, device records, API logs, provider responses and electronic records may be used as evidence of your transactions and activities on the platform.
You should keep your own transaction records, receipts and reconciliation reports.
RavaPay provides the platform and services on an "as available" and "as is" basis, subject to applicable law. We do not warrant that:
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RavaPay, its directors, employees, officers, agents, affiliates, partners and service providers shall not be liable for:
Where RavaPay is found liable, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the direct transaction amount paid by you for the affected transaction, unless a higher amount is required by applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RavaPay, its directors, employees, officers, agents, affiliates, partners and service providers from and against all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, penalties, costs and expenses arising from:
RavaPay shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay is caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, fire, flood, pandemic, epidemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labour disputes, power failure, internet outage, telecom failure, external network failure, payment system failure, provider outage, government action, regulatory restriction, court order, cyberattack, cloud provider outage or any other event beyond reasonable control.
We may amend these Terms at any time. Where required, we may notify you through email, SMS, app notification, website notice or other reasonable means. Your continued use of RavaPay after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
If you do not agree with any updated Terms, you must stop using RavaPay and may request account closure, subject to pending obligations, investigations, unsettled transactions, chargebacks, disputes or legal requirements.
You may not assign, transfer or delegate your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. RavaPay may assign, transfer, subcontract or delegate its rights and obligations to affiliates, successors, partners, acquirers or service providers, subject to applicable law.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
Failure by RavaPay to enforce any right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, product-specific terms, fee schedules, transaction rules and any other terms incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and RavaPay regarding your use of the platform.
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
If a dispute arises, you agree to first contact RavaPay customer support and allow us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter. Where the dispute is not resolved through customer support, the parties shall attempt amicable settlement.
If the dispute remains unresolved, it shall be referred to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria, unless the parties agree to mediation, arbitration or another lawful dispute resolution process.
